It is the perfect program package for you to continue to work during your online courses and then attend your onsite practical skills courses for a shorter amount of time because of the theory based information you have received online to prepare you for your onsite training.

Nash will take you through a series of online, comprehensive, theory based courses taught by our Certified Online Theory Instructors followed by a series of detailed onsite practical skills courses taught by our Nash Systems Certified Onsite Practical Skills Instructors.

The professional series is all about salon policies and procedures and the 5 phases of grooming. How to properly prep, bathe, dry, brush and finish the different coat types with professionalism to prepare you for your onsite practical skills courses. You will study why it is important to keep your bathing, grooming and styling station organized, sanitized and well maintained. You will know how and why to transport a small dog with a safety loop and a large dog with a safety lead. You will know why and how to use various products, tools and equipment on different coat types and more. We have provided an overview of what you will study during your online courses. You have the following options to complete your online courses. The time frame to complete the online courses is determined by the type of online course option you choose. The amount of tuition for the online courses is determined by the type of course option you choose.

Steps to Success #2: Complete Your Onsite Courses
The practical skills courses take 360 Clock Hours to complete. We reserve a space for you for a total of 400 hours to allow for absent days. Students attending 40 clock hours per week can complete this course in 9 weeks with no absent days. We have provided an overview of what you will practice during the 360 hours. To find out more about each onsite course, please reference the individual course objectives. The following grooming procedures are included: the practical application of all technical skills necessary to bath, groom and style man's best friend by coat type.

The correct methods of care of the dog's eyes, ears, nose, feet, and brushing teeth will be taught and practiced. Dog bathing, brushing and drying techniques will be practiced daily, including the proper products, tools, and techniques to use on different coat types. You will also be instructed on how to create beautiful expressions and profiles by creating different head, ear, neck, body, legs, feet and tail styles using different tools, products, and techniques including clippering, thinning, scissoring, handstripping, carding and deshedding. You will practice creating balance and symmetry, as well as learning how to avoid creating faults on pure breeds and mixed breeds. Salon policies and procedures on safety, sanitation, organization and maintenance covered in the online course will also be covered during the hands on.
