The best gift of all is education and nobody does it better than the Nash Academy. Established in 1979, Nash Academy achieved an international reputation of excellence in pet care education by encouraging their students to reach for the stars and to believe they can be all they want to be with a good education.
Competitors Win Nash Education Courses at Pet Expos $51, 360
In 2013 Nash Academy partnered with the International Judges Association for Dog Grooming Competitions and Certifications (IJA) to conduct a Rescue Me Competition at the Pittsburgh Pet Expo and discovered a whole new meaning of giving back to the industry. In 2014 at Pet Expos throughout the USA, Nash Academy awarded $51,360 in online education courses as gifts to the winners and groomed over 60 rescue pets to help find them new homes.

John Nash Memorial Scholarships Awarded $17,700
In 2013, Vivian Nash, owner of the Nash Academy, awarded the John Nash Memorial Scholarship at the Pittsburgh Pet Expo to honor the late John Nash, founder of the Nash Academy. In 2014, the John Nash Memorial Scholarship and the newly inspired John Nash Memorial True Hero Scholarship – The Oscar, valued at $8,850 each for a total of $17,700, was awarded at the Pittsburgh Pet Expo. The new scholarship was added this year after receiving a special application from a rescue group and will be awarded annually to support Nash Academy and IJA’s commitment to finding homes for sheltered animals in the USA – All For The Love of Dogs!
Giving Back to the Community and Supporting Worthwhile Causes $10,830
The Nash Pet Salon, the onsite practical skills training site for the Nash Academy has always donated grooming certificates for local raffles and auctions and in 2014, gifted over $250 in grooming certificates.
This year, Nash Academy donated the Traditional Dog Bathing, Grooming and Styling Diploma Program, valued at $8,850 to a different cause, the Lexington Habitat for Humanity and is proud to announce the program was purchased and it was the largest bid in the auction!
Big Heart for a Good Cause $609 Donated
Nash Academy has and will continue to make donations of education for a good cause and is proud to say we made a difference by donating $609 to Fargo Industries Allegheny Center/Animal Friends Charity Fund-raiser located in Pittsburgh.
2015 Scholarships will be Awarded Around the World
Nash Academy looks forward to 2015 to touch the hearts and make dreams come true for pet lovers from around the world and making it a safer place for the pet and the professional bathers, groomers and stylists by awarding the gift of education.
Nash offers online and onsite courses in dog and cat grooming as well as understanding and taking care of the horse.
