Berno Bekebrede

Curriculum Development /Online Instructor


Berno Bekebrede has been a dog groomer, handler and breeder for almost 25 years, and has enjoyed success in many different aspects of the canine world. After beginning as a kennel hand, he received his (Dutch) Federal approved grooming diploma in 1989, and owned and ran a successful grooming salon before specializing in showing dogs in the conformation ring. It is his passion to show, groom and handle dogs across Europe and the United States. Berno has shown many champions throughout the different FCI groups and breeds, including a good number of world champions and the most winning Irish Wolfhound ever. He is an active and certified member of the IJA. His interest in dogs has never been breed restricted, and has always led him beyond the basics, to try to dig deeper into analyzing breed history, pack behavior and pack obedience, in order to understand all the possibilities of each breed. He is one of the online instructors as well as a practical application instructor. He has been very instrumental in the development of the online curriculum. The owner of innumerable dogs, he is passionate about dogs, and dogs are his passion.
