Whitney Huey
Director of Admissions
Whitney Huey is a lifelong animal lover who has been riding horses since she was a teenager. Born in Memphis, TN, she had a nomadic childhood and had lived in ten different states by the time she was twelve. She considers all the travel in her young life to be a wonderful experience, teaching her about American geography and human psychology at the same time. A real people person, Whitney worked for four years at a major Lexington-area tack and horse supply store, applying her love of and knowledge about horses to helping people. A current resident of Paris, Kentucky, with her boyfriend Larry, they have two Miniature Dachshunds, Sandi and Smitty, and two red ear slider turtles. She also has her nine year old Thoroughbred horse boarded nearby. Whitney is a natural for Director of Admissions, as she is sympathetic, easy to talk to, and, as she says, "I love Nash Academy, and enjoy working with the students as well as being in an atmosphere where dogs are all around."
